He Tecnológico de Monterrey San Luis Potosí campus carried out the presentation of the Fourth Short Film Show made by students from the Creative Studies Area at the Cineteca Alameda in San Luis Potosí.

The presentation of short films was open to the public for free, as it was the result of the subject called “Audiovisual narrative”in which First-year students from the Creative Studies Area had the challenge of making a short film in five weeksstarting from the development of the script to culminating in filming and subsequently post-production where sound design, color corrections and editing are worked on.

During this period, thestudents were advised by experts from the film company Paramount México; Rogelio Cóyotl, producer of Animal de Luz Films and Patricia Ordaz, film director and screenwritergave a workshop on the creative processes involved in film production, in addition to giving them advice for their professional future.

In addition to being able to produce a short film, the students worked on comprehensive skills for their professional development such as teamwork, problem solving, communication and the use of technologyhighlighting the use of audiovisual post-production software.

In the Cineteca Alameda presented four fiction stories in the horror and suspense genres; “Between the lines”, directed by Regina Rosas and Luis Nava; “Latidos”, headed by Miranda Bernal; “Eco”, directed by Arturo Hernández; and “Are you free today?”, by Vanessa Chávez.

Creative Studies students, who study Communication, Digital Art, Musical Production, Design, Architecture and Hispanic Letters said they were proud to be able to show the result of their workin which they have put all their effort and dedication.

The Tec de Monterrey Campus San Luis Potosí thanked the staff and director of the Cineteca Alameda, Aldo Patlán, for the hospitality in hosting the exhibition of these projects in such an emblematic setting for cinema in this city.
