Irrigation announced that it will invest $3,780 million in 44 works with its own funds

According to their typology, the works to be executed will be 68% waterproofing (50% lining and 18% piping) of channels, channels and branches; while, on the other hand, 25% correspond to construction works Repair and Maintenance and 7% to construction of works of art.

The detail of the works basin by basin

In the Mendoza River Basin 10 works will be executed lining, piping and maintenance of dikes with a total investment of $1,461 million.

Some of them will be completed during the annual water cutoff period, such as the coatings of a stretch of 500 meters from the Morales Branchof 2,500 meters from the Pedregal shared driving area, of the Rama Jarillal (from Zanjón Frías to Pueyrredón street) and from Lunlunta canal in its 1st and 2nd section.

The other works include: the patching of the 1st and 2nd section in the San Martín canal and the piping of the Gil Matrix Branch–1st section. They will also be carried out maintenance of the 5th and 6th sections of the San Martín canalthe one of the floodgates No. 1 and No. 2 of the Deripping Chamberof the gate No. 3 of the mobile weir of the Cipolletti dam and the gate No. 3 of the Great Matrix canal from the same dam.

Tunuyán River Basin

In the Lower Tunuyán River Basin will be carried out 14 jobs for $584 million. During the annual water cut, the following will be carried out: the maintenance of gate 19-20 of the Tiburcio Benegas dam, the construction of gauging sections, the repair of slabs and joints of the San Martín canal, the piping of the Cobos canal and the waterproofing of the Trees channels (Martínez Letta section), from the Mundo Nuevo Branch, from the Independencia channel connection – Cruz Bodega branch channel, from branch Nº 6, from branch N°8 and from branch N°9 – south high green branch. In addition, section I of the North-B° San José Branch will be covered.

Upper Tunuyán River

In the Uco Valley, precisely in the Tunuyán Superior River basin, 9 works will be carried out, with an investment of $585 million. Some of them require being executed during the annual water cut, but most can be carried out at any time.

Thus, the maintenance of the Valle de Uco dam gate will be carried out, as well as that of the Matriz Valle de Uco canal 1st stage, the construction of the direct intake section – 2nd stage, the lining of 380 meters of the Vista Flores canal and that of the Manzano canal of 700 meters (matrix).

Besides, the maintenance of the Canaleta Anchayuyo canal bridge, the waterproofing of 800 meters of the Palomares and Feliana branch and 600 meters of the Alto Verde branch of the lots and the piping of 530 meters of the Leyton Branch-1st stage.

Atuel River Basin

In the Atuel River basin, an investment of $444 million in 5 works, which will be executed during the annual water cut. This is the maintenance of the Marginal del Atuel canal, in its 13th stage; the construction of a gauging section in the Valle Grande dam and the lining of the Rama 3 – hijuela 4 (500 meters), Izuel – hijuela 6 (470 meters) and Atuel sud – hijuela El Algarrobito channels (250 meters).

Diamond River Basin

As in the Atuel River basin, Irrigación will carry out different works in Diamante during the annual cutoff period with a total investment of $465 million. It’s about the construction of 2 cladding worksone of 615 meters in the Rama Caída channel and another of 200 meters in the Day Forte channel and in addition, the maintenance of the Primary Network System and the modernization of the Day Forte canal.

Malargue

In the southern department they will be executed 2 works for $241 million. Its about covering of the Pehuenche I Branch and an electromechanical work, the repair of all the gates of the Blas Brísoli dam. Both works will be carried out with the objective of modernizing the Malargüe irrigation system.
