The mayor of Rawson, Damián Biss, accompanied the event in commemoration of the memory of men and women of the Chubut Police who fell in the line of duty. The ceremony took place yesterday, Sunday morning in the provincial capital, and was led by the deputy chief of the Provincial Police, Commissioner Mauricio Zabala.

On this occasion, the Secretary of Government and Security of the Municipality of Rawson, Karina Barneche, also participated; the Secretary of Environment and Sustainable Development, Miguel Larrauri; the provincial deputy, Sixto Bermejo; and the Senior Staff of the Chubut Police.
This day was established in Chubut as “Institutional Day of Those Fallen in the Line of Duty” by Resolution No. 317/11.
On the occasion, the mayor of Rawson, Damián Biss, remembered the fallen heroes and highlighted the work and performance of the Chubut Police in their vocation of service.
Likewise, the mayor of the capital maintained that “it is a special date and a very heartfelt act, fundamentally because we have neighbors who have fallen very few years ago in the line of duty, fulfilling their functions.”
Following this line, the mayor, Damián Biss, commented that “in this particular year, the Police decided to hold a single event in the municipal cemetery and for us it is an honor to be able to accompany them.”
Finally, the president of the Capital city remarked that “from the Municipality of Rawson, in every institutional act that takes place in our city, we find ourselves accompanying our forces and our police officials, who always ensure our safety.”
