Until this Friday the 28th, the provincial call is open to participate in the Fray Mocho Award, in the Story genre, organized by the Secretariat of Culture of Entre Ríos.

Reception of envelopes will be until June 28 inclusive. The jury’s opinion and opening of the winning envelope will be made and communicated on Friday, October 25.

To compete, a set of stories, original and unpublished, must be submitted (they may not register total or partial dissemination by the mass media before or while the contest process lasts).

The minimum length is 60 pages and the maximum is 100 pages, with a free theme.

The works must be sent only by certified postal item with the legend: “Annual Literary Award -Fray Mocho- Story – Secretary of Culture of the Province of Entre Ríos” to Gardel 42, Postal Code: 3100, Paraná, Entre Ríos.

No sender or document number or other sign that identifies the author should be placed.

The Jury will be made up of three members with recognized literary backgrounds, appointed by the Ministry of Culture.

The Prize is the highest literary distinction in the region granted by the provincial government, with the winning work receiving an edition of 1,000 copies by Editorial Entre Ríos, of which 200 are delivered free of charge to the author.

Native Entre Ríos authors or authors from other parts of the country and naturalized Argentines with a minimum residence of five years in the province can participate.

The Fray Mocho award

The Fray Mocho has continuity through annual calls, with rotation of different literary genres and in accordance with the following order: theater, poetry, short story, novel and essay.
