In a harsh context, with increases in the cost of the provision of energy, medication, fuel (essential to keep the transfer units active) and food (with the important impact that this section has on institutions with hospitalization), during the first half of the year, the Entre Ríos Government made an economic effort to sustain the response capacity of the public health network’s providers.
Between December 11 and June 11 19,504,674,915 pesos were sent to the 65 hospitals that make up the provincial public network (and the De la Baxada Dr. Teresa Ratto hospital) as operating and reinforcement items. The figure includes the starting reinforcements sent to different Entre Ríos hospitals to face court orders. To mention just one example that illustrates the impact of these measures on the public treasury, in the month of May the San Antonio de Gualeguay hospital received a reinforcement item of more than 77 million pesos to cover the treatment of a patient who requires high-cost medication.
On the other hand, to sustain the benefits of the 208 establishments of the first level of provincial dependency care (which includes the Regional Reference Centers, the Primary Health Care Centers and the Health Posts), from January to May 2024, They assigned operating items for a total of 574,423,000 pesos.
In turn, in the period from January to May, 4,929,881,447 pesos were also transferred, corresponding to the payment of benefit modules and active and passive guards that the professionals of the Professional Health Care Career carried out in hospitals and health centers of the province. It is worth clarifying that the amount of the guards includes the percentage increases in the salary guideline set by the provincial government, which is why it is updated following the same.
