The ProCórdoba Agency carried out the first meeting of the Porcine Tablein which key actors in this productive chain in Córdoba discussed the challenges, priorities and opportunities that arise, in order to jointly establish actions that impact the improvement of exports.

In the meeting headed by the president of the ProCórdoba Agency, Pablo De Chiara, authorities from the Ministry of Bioagroindustry, the Secretariat of Science and Technology, the Córdoba Branch Customs Clearance Center, the Association of Meat Processing and Industrialists – AFIC participated. -, Senasa and the Oncativo Pig Cluster. In addition, representatives of the Córdoba Chamber of Foreign Commerce, Córdoba Customs, the Córdoba Association of Freight Agents, and various meat processing plants in the province were present.

On the occasion, De Chiara expressed: “Starting from commercial intelligence, dialogue between the actors that are part of a chain is key to be able to establish what the priorities are, the different alternatives and of course define the strategy and the paths to follow. from now on. That is why we called for this first experience, which is a great challenge.”

The official added that the idea is to promote dialogue between the actors of the entire value chain and establish what the concrete actions are. “We have to be assertive, clear and very concise in the paths we take so that they have the greatest possible impact and to be able to achieve the final objective, which is to improve, promote and enhance pork exports in the province,” he said.

For his part, Daniel Urcia, executive director of AFIC, explained: “I think this chain was rightly chosen, because it is in a stage of growth, evaluation and has a great future. We are not going to see immediate results, but over time I have no doubt that it will be one of the most important productive activities in Córdoba. What we have ahead of us is a lot of work. We have a domestic market that has grown, which will surely continue to grow, because today pork is being incorporated into the diet. But always having an external market helps you to have the destination of that greater production. “We have to work on opening health markets.”

The activity was carried out within the framework of the INex-Intelligence for Exportation program, which seeks to promote dialogue between the key actors and references of each productive sector of the province to design strategic actions, based on the detection of specific needs, that favor the internationalization of Cordoban SMEs.
