The Secretary of Security of Antioquia, Luis Eduardo Martínez Guzmán, denounced that two farmers have been missing since last SaturdayJune 15, in the rural area of ​​Remedios.

Identified as Juan Carlos Jiménez Moreno, recognized leader of the Carrizal district and Armando de Jesús Barroso Herazoa resident of this same area, would be in the power of a group outside the law.

According to information that the authorities have received, members of the National Liberation Army (ELN)an illegal group with interference in the Northeast of Antioquia and that is in dispute with the Gaitanista Self-Defense Forces of Colombia (Agc), would have them against their will.

According to the secretary, members of the guerrilla group would have summoned these people to, apparently, hold them accountable why they were giving information to the AGC, for this reason, Army sources stated that, supposedly, the members of the ELN They described the victims as informants of the ‘Gulf clan’.

It was reported that Jiménez Moreno is the treasurer of the Community Action Board of the Lejanías village (Remedios), while Barroso Herazo is a native of the Mina Vieja sector, located in the department of Bolívar, bordering Antioquia.
