The simplicity with which Inside out 2 (Inside Out 2) manages to translate some of the most complex emotions and feelings of the human mind, and on top of that in a tragicomic tone, are some of the strong points of the story of Riley, whom we met in 2015. The emotion removed from ‘Inside Out 2’
Initially, Inside out 2 (Inside Out 2) was going to introduce a character that was going to be called Shame, which in Spain we would have translated as shame. However, Shame is present in the title, although it appears in the original version as Embarrassment. This is due to the confusion for the Spanish-speaking public between Shame and Embarrassment, since they are translated in a fairly similar way, but the first one is used in much more extreme cases.
Precisely, this small nuance between both terms is what made the director, Kelsey Mann, decided to leave Shame aside. The filmmaker has revealed to TheWrap (via Screen Rant) that The eliminated character “wasn’t fun to watch” and was even “too heavy”so I decided to leave it out of the final assembly.
“There are good movies that you see and you think they’re a great movie, but then you wonder if you would watch them again and the answer is no. I didn’t want to do that. I wanted the film to be really meaningful, so that people can watch it again. Those are the kind of movies I want to make and they are my favorites. That’s why I didn’t want to put Shame on Inside out 2. I wasn’t funny enough for it.“Mann confessed.
