TORONTO — Six pitchers combined for an eight-hit game, George Springer scored twice and drove in a run in the Toronto Blue Jays’ 5-0 victory over the Cleveland Guardians on Saturday.

Isiah Kiner-Falefa had two hits and rookie Addison Barger had his first RBI in the major leagues for the Blue Jays, who are 26-3 when scoring five or more runs.

Starter Trevor Richards allowed one hit in 2 1/3 innings of 31 pitches. Tim Mayza and Zach Pop each had one out and Bowden Francis (3-2) allowed four hits — all singles — in four innings. Dominican Génesis Cabrera pitched the eighth and Nate Pearson finished Toronto’s fifth shutout.

Venezuelan Carlos Carrasco (2-6) lost his fourth consecutive decision after allowing five runs and six hits in five innings. Cleveland (44-24), which leads the AL Central, had won four of its previous five games.

Springer, Barger and Spencer Horwitz had RBI singles in a three-run second inning, Kiner-Falefa singled to send Springer home in the fourth and Daulton Varsho hit a scoring double-play grounder in the fifth.

For the Guardians, Venezuelan Andrés Giménez 4-1.

For the Blue Jays, Dominican Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is 4-1.
