Stellar Blade has reached one million copies sold

Developer Shift Up has announced that the PlayStation 5 action game, Stellar Blade, has reached one million copies sold since its launch on April 26. That is to say: these are the sales figures for the first month of the game on the market.

To commemorate the number and date, the developer has announced that a free update will be added in August that will add photo mode to the game. Afterwards, new costumes will be added for the protagonist in October and “a great collaboration” to end the year 2024, although they have not yet detailed what exactly she is referring to.

In theory, Shift Up is already planning a sequel to the title.

In our review, we gave Stellar Blade a Recommended seal, saying that “Stellar Blade constantly reflects a state of ambivalence, shining in many moments but also very self-consciously muddying in others.”
