However, Wizards of the Coast has announced that this will change with the new Player’s Handbook, as it will give the possibility of consume any elixir in a complementary way to the movements we want to make in a turn.
In fact, This option is not exactly new in the D&D community. Many players have implemented the use of potions as a bonus action in their games, since it is something that can be agreed upon in advance with the campaign DM. Additionally, well-known Dungeons and Dragons groups like Critical Role have popularized this change by adding it to their respective stories.
The new Dungeons and Dragons Player’s Handbook will arrive in September
Be that as it may, we are now talking about a rule that will be fully official in just a few months. Wizards of the Coast has already announced that the Player’s Handbook for the new edition of Dungeons and Dragons will be available starting next month. September, 17th. In addition, and as is customary in the board game, this book will be followed by other important volumes (Dungeon Master’s Manual and Monster Manual) that will be released between 2024 and 2025.
