The upcoming movie “Escape” has released its poster and trailer!

“Escape” tells the story of the other side of the barbed wire fence of the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) and describes the fierce escape and chase of North Korean soldier Gyu Nam (Lee Je Hoon), who dreams of living a life with a future, and security team officer Hyun Sang (Koo Kyo Hwan), who must stop him. The film is directed by Lee Jong Pil of “Samjin Company English Class” and “The Sound of a Flower.”

The new second poster shows Gyu Nam trying to escape and Hyun Sang chasing him. Gyu Nam’s determined gaze shows her strong desire to free herself from her, while Hyun Sang’s cold gaze reveals her determination to not let her target escape, creating a tense confrontation. The torn look of the poster, with the two men facing each other, hints at their inevitable confrontation and leaves viewers wondering about the outcome. The message, “A race toward tomorrow, a chase for today,” increases curiosity about the intense chase and hunt action between the two characters with different objectives.

The second trailer, released at the same time, begins with a tense moment: Hyun Sang asks, “Have you run away?” and Gyu Nam replies, “I wasn’t trying to escape; “I was trying to catch the fugitive.” Their exchange, along with the suspicious glances, overlaps with Gyu Nam’s secret preparation to flee, hinting at her inevitable conflict and piquing curiosity.

When Gyu Nam goes on the run with his trusted junior soldier Dong Hyuk (Hong Sa Bin), who looks like his brother, Hyun Sang’s furious behavior marks the beginning of an intense chase. The scene offers a glimpse of the difficult escape that awaits Gyu Nam and Dong Hyuk as they traverse dark forests and thick bushes, boldly venture into a minefield, and fight in murky waters. Every moment of their risky journey unfolds with uncertainty, keeping viewers guessing about their chances of a successful escape.

Furthermore, the persistent pursuit of Hyun Sang and the presence of North Korean soldiers add tension to the story, increasing the anticipation for the action-packed chase scenes. When Hyun Sang offers Gyu Nam one last chance to return, in contrast to Gyu Nam’s firm declaration, “I will follow my own path,” viewers are intrigued by the inevitable outcome and the decisions each character will make.
