The expansion of energy capacity required an investment of US$190 millionwithin the framework of the conversion project from open cycle to combined cycle of the largest thermal generation plant it has Albanian in the country.
The second stage of this work, whose inauguration is scheduled for the last quarter of the year, consists of the commissioning of the new steam turbine, which will add 125MW to its installed capacity.
With this work, the Maranzana plant will reach a total capacity of 475MWconsolidating itself as a fundamental pillar in the electrical supply of Córdoba, where it currently provides 25% of the energy consumed in the province.

“The development of this project is part of an investment plan that together exceeds US$500 million,” remarked Albanesi, who today is the main marketer of natural gas in Argentina.
In this set of initiatives, the completion of the work to expand and close the combined cycle of the Ezeiza Thermal Power Plant, which has been operational since April, with which it managed to double its installed capacity by going from 150MW to 300MW. This work alone represented an investment of more than US$220 million.
Other investments correspond to the construction of the Arroyo Seco Cogeneration Plantin Santa Fe. This work requires an investment greater than the US$150 million and will have 130MW of installed power that will be injected into the Argentine Interconnection System (SADI) and 180 tn/h of steam process for the industry. The steam resulting from the operation will be delivered to the industrial complex of Louis Dreyfus Company, for your production process.
In the case of the Arroyo Seco plant, it is estimated that the first stage will be operational during the third quarter of 2024, and that the second will be operational in the first quarter of 2025.
At the end of the year Albanianwhich has been in the electricity generation and natural gas supply market for 95 years, will approach 2,000 MW of installed capacity through its 10 central equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including Cogeneration Plant in Talaranorth of Peru.
