A new star-studded drama has joined the battle for weekend ratings!
On May 4, JTBC’s “The Atypical Family,” a new fantasy romance starring Jang Ki Yong, Chun Woo Hee and Claudia Kim, aired its first episode. According to Nielsen Korea, the drama premiered with a nationwide average rating of 3.3 percent.
Meanwhile, MBC’s “Chief Detective 1958” kicked off the second half of its run with its highest ratings yet for a Saturday (when its ratings are typically lower compared to Fridays). The latest episode of the “Chief Inspector” prequel earned a national average rating of 9.0 percent.
“The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection” from SBS earned a nationwide average rating of 3.0 percent overnight, while “Missing Crown Prince” from MBN remained stable with a nationwide average of 2.3 percent.
Finally, “Beauty and Mr. Romantic” on KBS 2TV was the most-watched program of any type that aired on Saturday, with a nationwide average rating of 13.0 percent.
