During the discussions, the deputies greatly appreciated and believed that both this project and the adjustment of the General Planning of the Capital until 2045, vision until 2065, were meticulously prepared, which offers an important legal tool for the management of programming, construction and development of Hanoi.

The capital’s parliamentary delegation, reported on the National Assembly website, expressed its views on the plan to develop the Red River axis and for it to truly become the center of the capital’s development.

The capital’s legislators also agreed with the guidelines and solutions proposed by the city for the renovation of old apartments, which is especially urgent in the current situation with the occurrence of serious fires and explosions, and to solve the problems of river pollution, garbage and wastewater.

Regarding urban planning, they considered that the creation of new projects constitutes an opportunity for the city to change and limit the construction of tubular houses, as well as to cease the manufacture of high-rise buildings in the city center.

Referring to the planning of the capital’s health system, the parliamentarians decided to take into account that it not only serves the capital, but the entire country, since most of the large important hospitals are concentrated here.

Hanoi’s development planning until 2030, with a vision to 2045, aims to make it a civilized, modern, green and intelligent city where the cultural elite of the country and the world converge, and a leading center for research, innovation, application and transfer of new science and technology.

In addition, to be the axis and engine of the development of the Red River Delta and the Northern region of Vietnam and a great economic and financial center, a pole of growth with prominence in the national economy and influence in the region, based on models green development and the circular, digital and shared economy.

The planned development spatial structure includes five development spaces, as many economic corridors and belts, and an equal number of driving forces, socio-economic regions and urban areas.

Together with the southern Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi Capital will play the role of the country’s growth pole, with a key position in the dynamic triangle of the Red River Delta (Hanoi – Hai Phong – Quang Ninh) and the development quadrilateral in the northern region (Hanoi – Hai Phong – Quang Ninh – Thanh Hoa).
