Last Saturday, June 8, comedian Gerly Hassam Gómez, known as Hassam, was going to perform at the Zulima Theater in Cúcuta, but due to a health problem the comedian could not attend. “We inform people who bought tickets for the show that it has been postponed. We have been contacted by the artist’s team where they tell us that the comedian has been urgently hospitalized due to severe abdominal pain, we are waiting for the medical report and the artist’s evolution,” reads a statement from the organizers.
What happened to Hassam?
The news left his followers waiting in the capital of Norte de Santander. Hassam wrote a message on his social networks announcing the situation. “Pregnancy ruled out,” the comedian began jokingly. “I am still in control, dear friends, thank you for your messages, I will remain in medical care for several days.”
The comedian, who in 2019 was diagnosed with multiple myeloma and three years later overcame the disease, did not give details about his new health mishap. Although Hassam did show some of his moments in hospitalization. “I already have visitors, my Mariana’s zebra monkey and Tutty’s little chef. And my primary care nurse is giving me a lot of love. I hope to be at 100 again to continue making fun of life,” he concluded.
“A thousand excuses to the people who purchased their tickets, we will soon announce the new date,” added the comedian. The organizers assured that the comedian’s presentation will be rescheduled. “We wish Hassam a speedy recovery to continue enjoying his talent. We invite people to keep their tickets, since with these they will enter in the same conditions and location as the initial purchase. “We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this situation.”
