The numbers speak for themselves: in the installment corresponding to the month of March for a private home, the amount to pay is 10,336 pesos and with the late fee it rises to 10,750 pesos.

Likewise, a resident of the Gorriti neighborhood published his defense on social networks: “from paying $65,624.07 in January (invoice 1), we went on to pay $131,586.89 in April (invoice 4). Every month they make increases that the municipality of San Salvador de Jujuy allows. On top of this, when you pay, they give you a receipt “X” that has no value as an invoice” and he attached the summary of the 4 bills.

It is worth remembering that at the end of 2022, the left-wing councilor, Gastón Remy, was already pointing to a “balance rate” that LIMSA implemented and that applied the invoice values according to the neighborhood, which guaranteed to increase the company’s profits. measuring the taxable capacity through the value of the property and its location, beyond the classification of whether it was a residential area, whether it was a home or a business.

The irregularity of this “balance rate” also benefited the municipal coffers, since the company had to pay the municipality a fee for the granting of urban hygiene services of 10% monthly “on the net amount of VAT invoiced and in accordance to what is established in the corresponding ordinance.”

Faced with these important sums, CODECUC urged that users who must pay for this service make the corresponding claim or protest the increase; otherwise, it will be understood that they accept the increase.

In this way, the association hopes to follow the same path with what is happening with the high electricity rate, where neighbors from different locations gather in front of the commercial offices of EJESA to make their rejection felt at the significant increase implemented in the latest bills. .

This is where Rivarola’s name is repeated as one of the beneficiaries of the tariff: behind closed doors of EJESA itself, it is rumored that the deputy joined as a shareholder in the company that once belonged to Chilean capital. The other beneficiary would be none other than Gerardo Morales. Without certainly knowing the distribution of the share package – provincial legislators years ago requested this information from the Morales government -, these are the corridors where the names of Rivarola and the former governor who participated in the last sale of shares are aired. The contrary attitude of the provincial attorney, Sebastián Albesa – of the radical kidney – to accept the judicial protection presented by consumer protection organizations so that the electricity bills be retrograded to January values and the service cuts be suspended, served as indication that the official is protecting the interest of the company over that of the citizens.

The judicialization of the LIMSA tariff by CODECUC also includes the municipality, since it grants the service concession.
