Following OPINIÓN CARIBE’s complaint, the Attorney General’s Office opened an investigation against officials of the ICBF Magdalena, for alleged directing of contracts for $42,000 million and for having allegedly ignored the instructions given by the General Directorate of the ICBF to contract.

On April 13, CARIBBEAN OPINION announced that the Magdalena Regional of the ICBF apparently continued to award and celebrate contracts with foundations under the direct contracting modality, ignoring the guidelines indicated in the memorandum sent from the national direction of the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare, where it dictates that These contracts must be made with Parent Associations (APF) or with ethnic groups.

Likewise, this media outlet revealed that, apparently, the director of the Magdalena Regional, Leonardo Alfonso Pérez Medina, awarded more than $42,290 million pesos by hand, maintaining these contracts with the same foundations that have been operating for a long time, going in against the new directives.

After the complaint of CARIBBEAN OPINIONthe Attorney General’s Office opened an investigation against officials of the ICBF Magdalena, for alleged directing of contracts for $42,000 million and for having allegedly ignored the instructions given by the General Directorate of the ICBF to contract the basic education services for early childhood of Hogares Community Welfare, which establishes that said contracts must be made with Parents’ Associations (APF) or with ethnic groups.

“The management team of that region would have awarded more than $42,290,000,000 to the same foundations that have been operating this service for a long time, despite the fact that the associations of ethnic groups in the region (Indigenous Organizations, associations of fathers and mothers of users of the service or community mothers) were duly legalized to hire,” the Attorney General’s Office said in a statement.

The Attorney General’s Office indicated that among the evidence requested by the investigating entity are the list of contracts delivered directly by the regional management team, as well as a report that determines the officials who have participated in said contracting processes during the current administration. .
