The Institute of Transit, Transportation and Mobility of the District – INSTRAMD is permitted to inform citizens that in Riohacha there is no installation or operation of photo ticket systems.

“Today we received distorted information from some residents who stated that these systems were already working in the city, especially at one of the traffic lights located near the Viva Wajira shopping center. Therefore, I share with you that the installed system corresponds to a private surveillance camera that worked for this establishment,” said Jesús Cotes, director of the institute.

This is how the entity immediately contacted the spokespersons for this private scenario, managing to determine that it was a donation that the establishment received a couple of years ago, for its private surveillance, and that it was installed in one of the structures. pedestrian marking.

Given the above, the institute immediately proceeded to dismantle the device and socialize with passersby and drivers what this system was actually about at the time. The entity also shares that in the given case the installation of a photomulta system is contemplated, it will be socialized and agreed upon with citizens and transporters.

The institute continues to focus its efforts on recovering the electronic signage systems that exist in the city, on the implementation of pedestrian zebras and on educational campaigns aimed at improving mobility and saving lives.
