The internal tension in the CGT becomes more tense

The driving of the CGT-Regional Catamarca is a member. It is led by the duo made up of Leonardo Burgos, from the Association of Argentine Health Workers (ATSA), and Gladys Moro, from the Staff Association of the National University of Catamarca (APUNCA); However, the internal tension between both sectors is becoming increasingly tense, and this reality was reflected during the inauguration this morning. A series of disturbances occurred between both sectors after Moro’s sector was present despite stating that she was not invited to the remodeling of the CGT provincial headquarters. Pablo Soria, general secretary of the Court of Accounts Workers Union that belongs to this sector, was pushed by leaders who report to Leonardo Burgos of ATSA.

“Not only were we not invited to this event, but we were not invited to any since this administration began. We are many unions; that is why an agreement was reached that our regional would be made up of a binomial, because we are two sectors “We do not know the reason why we cannot enter, in any case, the CGT is the home of any worker in our province and here we are,” said Moro.

The leader maintained that when Burgos called her to sign a note addressed to the governor to request a subsidy to put this house in condition, she signed and now “for the inauguration they no longer took us into account.”

“Really, the leader who believes that a workers’ house belongs to him took the wrong course,” said Moro.

Furthermore, Moro announced that in the next election they will go with their own list. “We will have to wait for the next election and we will surely no longer work in tandem but will present our own list.”

Furthermore, together with other general secretaries, they repudiated the fact that there was pushing and shoving outside the inauguration and they would have pointed out a worker from the ATSA union as the person responsible.

“We repudiate this type of aggression that had never been observed in our house,” he said.
