Within the framework of the “7D Security Marathon”, the National Police carried out a significant seizure of cash in the El Cajón district, jurisdiction of the municipality of Nóvita, department of Chocó.

During a background check on people and vehicles, the uniformed officers of the Nóvita Police Station discovered the sum of $7,077,000 in cash, distributed in bills of various denominations.

The money was confiscated from a citizen, who, when questioned about the origin of the funds, could not present documentation proving its legality and origin. Additionally, the individual claimed to belong to the GAO Clan del Golfo.
As a result of this operation, the individual was placed at the disposal of the Police Inspectorate for pertinent investigations.
