Guantanamo – The Provincial Center for Books and Literature in Guantánamo recently conferred the laurels of the twentieth edition of the Floral Games I carve my diamonda contest in which she won the special award for the work that best reflects Botiana’s imprint, the young writer and member of the Saíz Brothers Association (AHS) Jennifer Salmón Mondeja, for her work titled Predio Natal, with which she also won an award in the youth category.

Likewise, in this same section the young people José Ariel Sánchez Rodríguez and Cecilia Milagros Yauner Duverger were winners; while in the children’s section, the students Rolando Junior Rey Frómeta, from the Conrado Benítez Semi-boarding School, won the prizes; Miracles of Charity Valier Creyon, from the José Antonio Echevarría Special School, and Adolis Roelkis Roque Gómez, from the Aguedo Morales Semi-boarding School.

On the other hand, in the twentieth edition of the Floral Games I Carve My Diamond, a literary contest that encourages poetic creation in different age groups, the Guantanamo residents Yaima Mejias Cata, Neydis Frómeta Serrano and Airen Heredia were awarded in the adult category.

On this occasion, the authors Mireya Piñeiro, Sobidelia Iglesias, Yess Ramírez, José Ramón Sánchez, Ibrahin Martínez, and Ragnar Wilfredo Robas made up the jury of the contest, whose program included readings of poems, exchanges with authors from the territory and the awards day, which It took place at the Regino Eladio Boti Provincial Public Library in the city of Guantánamo.
