Fishermen return to the Guaviare River after the closure period ends

At the end of the ban on the Guaviare River in the Orinoquía basin between April 1 and June 1, 2024, the authorities indicate that the results are satisfactory. On the subject we spoke with Wilfreddy Díaz, coordinator of the AUNAP Guaviare and he points out that with the support of the Navy and the National Police, several seizures of fishing gear were made.

Díaz stated that there were only seizures of these fishing tools, but there were no people captured for this fact that violates the norm and stated that fishing equipment was made available to the competent authorities.

As a result, AUNAP hopes that in the future these exercises will allow for a wide multiplication of species to later be able to have a large number of fish for consumption and marketing.
