The third round of training of the Literacy Plan begins – General Council of Education

Starting June 10, a new training phase will begin within the Provincial Literacy Plan at the primary level. This time, the focus will be on the use and exploitation of bibliographic material distributed throughout the region.

The meetings will be held in person in the departments of Uruguay, Colón, Paraná, Nogoyá, Tala and Gualeguay, while in the rest of the departments they will be held virtually. It is important to highlight that the program organizes training throughout the territory by nodes.

“Throughout the month these sessions will be held with teachers from the different departments. We continue to work together to ensure literacy at the primary level throughout the province. Furthermore, towards the end of the month, the second meeting is planned for teachers and directors of fourth-category rural schools and sole personnel of the Paraná department. Librarians, MOI and MAU also participate in these meetings, with the valuable support of supervisors and the Department of Schools,” said the primary level director, Diana Carmarán.

The pedagogical reference of the plan, Adriana Gómer, indicated that the theme of the meetings “will revolve around the writing system, word reading, reading fluency and text comprehension. From the literacy plan team, we accompany the schools in this instance in which the books arrive and teachers begin to plan teaching based on printed materials.”

“We want to highlight the commitment of the teachers and their enthusiasm for strengthening teaching methods and making the most of the bibliographic material distributed. At this time, our schools are receiving the books as part of the proposed implementation. We feel full of joy and confidence, because we know that, with the responsibility and dedication of everyone involved, we will move towards achieving our literacy goals. Our goal is for each child in Entre Ríos to reach the levels of reading, writing and comprehension corresponding to their academic grade, and we are committed to making it possible,” concluded Carmarán.
