The National Government, through the Secretary General of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection Gonzalo Parra, announced the delivery of nearly $25,000 million to health entities in the region to improve infrastructure, acquire basic care equipment, as well as medicalized ambulances. among others.

The important announcements were made within the framework of a day led by the Faculty of Health of the Surcolombiana University, an event to which the senior official of the National Government was invited, who recognized the judicious and committed work of the departmental authorities in the purpose of improving the health indicators throughout the region.
“We have every interest in supporting the solutions that communities require and this is closely linked to providing medical services with all guarantees. We have already delivered basic equipment for health care to several municipalities and I must report that, in the Ministry’s resource allocation committee, a figure greater than 25 billion pesos was awarded to the department of Huila and we are in the task of make an allocation of resources for both urban and rural infrastructure for healthcare centers in the region,” said the Secretary General of the Ministry of Health.
Healthcare transportation will improve
Gonzalo Parra, assured that the National Government is committed and makes immense efforts to achieve better health care and that proof of this is that medicalized vehicles are being assigned that contribute to saving lives and properly attending to the movements of patients.
“In terms of healthcare transportation, it is necessary to indicate that this week the managers of the municipal ESCOs and hospitals will be part of a meeting with the Ministry to make it feasible to award basic, medicalized ambulances, with dental units, extramural vehicles, that is, the National Government understands that the most pressing needs are in the most remote areas. We are going to reach those farmers, inhabitants of rural areas where the hand of the State has never reached them, that is the government of Change, we are in the idea of changing the way of investing and allocating resources to give it a more humane and better results,” said the Secretary General of the Ministry of Health.
Finally, the head of the department’s portfolio called on the managers of hospitals and care centers of the municipalities throughout the region to structure and present projects, since the Ministry has important resources, but these will only be assigned to the extent in which the proposals that must be supported and duly supported are made viable.
