The Ministry of Health of Entre Ríos, through the Directorate of Mental Health, held a meeting with the Undersecretariat of Production of the Municipality of Paraná and representatives of socio-labor enterprises of the Mental Health School Hospital. The meeting made it possible to articulate actions in order to promote these proposals that seek to guarantee access to work, within the framework of a comprehensive health perspective.

The event allowed health workers to socialize the work modality and the context in which the ventures are being developed. It should be said that these health promotion spaces are framed in the provisions of the National Mental Health Law and seek the restitution of the right to work for users of mental health services.

In line with this, the municipality offered to make different marketing spaces accessible such as the Salta and Nogoyá fair, Paseo Matero (in the area of the Police monument) and other sales points. In addition, it was proposed to facilitate the coordination for the resale of manufactured products, making contact between private parties.

The health and municipal leaders agreed to continue with this line of work, as a priority axis within the framework of mental health policies from a legal perspective.

In this sense, it is worth highlighting the start-up, in 2023, of La Casa del Río, a point of sale for products from the Mental Health School Hospital ventures and other related, cooperative and agroecological ventures. It operates at Bravard 266, headquarters of the Day Hospital, in the Thompson neighborhood of Paraná.
