Jujuy activates the campaign to protect Mental Health

“Care Mode” aims to remember that all people have the right to take care of themselves and make it a habit to take care of themselves and others. Care can be recovered even in day-to-day activities and routine. Brief minutes to talk, to listen, to pause, to share with loved ones restart the day. Breathing slowly, going outdoors, walking or doing any physical activity are also good alternatives to add. A good rest, as well as drinking water and eating as healthily as possible also help to improve the rhythm of daily life. Taking care of your health, carrying out periodic check-ups, consulting with a professional is also the right of every person and can be accessed for free.

Care Mode: 5 tools to take care of my mental health

• Physical activity: reduces stress, relieves symptoms of anxiety and sadness, increases energy level and improves sleep. An excellent option is to walk every day for at least 30 minutes

• Healthy nutrition: Organizing food schedules in a time of crisis allows us to organize our thoughts/emotions and better organize our habits.

• Quality sleep:

– get up and go to bed at the same approximate time

– avoid caffeine consumption (tea, coffee, soft drinks) in the afternoon and evening

– limit consumption of alcohol and other psychoactive substances

– avoid screen stimulation before bedtime

– avoid naps during the day

– create a sleeping environment (comfortable temperature, no noise, no light, etc.)

• Social link: Isolation has harmful effects on mental health. Being with others helps us have support, maintain and improve mental health
