This Thursday, June 13, 2024, within the framework of a new anniversary of San Juan, the president of the Court of Justice, Marcelo Lima, participated in the event organized by the Government. There he spoke about the openness to dialogue that the Judicial Branch had with the San Juan Judicial Union, after the controversy that arose with the additional 21 to 25% for the administrators of the judicial offices and that led to several days of protests by from the workers.
“It is essential that they be resolved through sincere, concrete dialogue and with the aim of growing,” said Lima, in dialogue with Canal 13 San Juan TV. “We had a very long, very productive meeting. Although there are conflicting interests, the requests of the workers of the Judiciary are fair,” she added.
“The requests collide with the real possibilities. In that sense, the dialogue developed. They took the proposals to the assembly and, although we do not have an official result of that meeting, they did present us with a note requesting a hearing in the Superintendency room. In these days we will give you a response,” the president of the Court later stated.
“We are developing common proposals on several points. Among them, mobility, categorization and a salary increase, which are the main demands they raised to us,” he added.
“We are complicated with the times, but soon we will convene the Judicial Union again. Our objective is to find a balance that allows us to satisfy the needs of workers without compromising the economic possibilities of the Judiciary,” concluded the courtier.
