Esval’s zonal deputy manager, Alejandro Pérez, reported that due to the significant increase in turbidity in the light blockade, the utility will have to carry out an emergency outage in the Placilla sector, Valparaíso.
“The intense rainfall caused the removal and dragging of earth – mud, generating a great increase in the turbidity of the La Luz Dam, which makes the production of drinking water in the area impossible at this time,” Pérez said.
