In the municipality of Villanueva, La Guajira, they do not come out of astonishment and pain afterwards of the death of an elderly adult who was attacked by a pit bull dog when I was trying to feed him.

The events occurred this Friday in the house of Jesús Hernández Fragoso, 93 years old, in the El Hormigueral neighborhood, when The older adult was preparing to feed several dogs of the same breed in the yard of his home. As the animals approached the food, one of them attacked the man and bit him on the neck and then on the face.
The man began to scream desperately, so several neighbors came to help him without success, because They couldn’t get the dog to let go. Finally, another neighbor hit the animal with a stick, which released Don “Chu,” as the older adult was known.

Jesús Hernández was transferred to the Santo Tomás de Villanueva hospital, where He died due to the severity of his injuries.
The animal, for its part, was sacrificed by the neighbors from El Hormigueral after the attack on Don “Chu”, who rescued him and cared for him for several years.
