There is already traffic for all types of vehicles. This was confirmed by local authorities, who highlighted the rapid response of the Invías, to be able to reestablish the provisional passage; Work continues at the point.
On this Tuesday afternoon, local authorities of Santiago, upper Putumayo confirmed that the passage was enabled for all types of vehicles on PR 48 +950, Río Negro sector, via Santiago – El Encano.
Franklin Benavides Revelo, municipal mayor, indicated that, at the point, and thanks to the diligent response of the Invías, the passage could be restored, although he warned that the passage will be provisional and controlled, while the work to adapt the road progresses.
“Tomorrow we are going to continue with the works; patience: we must guarantee the condition of the road and obviously the safety of the people who travel through this sector,” Benavides Revelo highlighted.
On the other hand, it was known, from transporters’ versions, that after progressing in the adaptation work in the Chorlaví sector, the vehicular passage was also normalized, but with provisional passage.
The weather conditions of recent days have been favorable to advance the work that is being carried out at the affected points by Invías contractors.
