Tunja, June 19, 2024. (UACP). Boyacá, along with eight other departments, was selected by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection to develop the pilot project of the health and governance strategy that seeks to strengthen and form Integrated Health Networks focused on the primary care of individuals, families and communities. .

The initiative, of a participatory nature, aims to establish coordination mechanisms and strengthen dialogue between key actors, integrating the health authority, Health Promotion Entities (EPS) and universities.

The strategy, which will be developed progressively with a permanent look at public health priorities, will be based on social participation, care networks, the identification of health needs from social determinants, intersectorality and comprehensiveness in actions.

This process will last six months and will serve as a reference to scale the strategy to the other departments of the country.

Boyacá will be represented by Óscar Jiménez Espinosa, Secretary of Health, and the professional Libia Perilla Vaca.
