The city of San Carlos de Bariloche was the scene of a meticulous security inspection carried out by the Río Negro Police, in charge of the General Roca Explosives Division, in coordination with local authorities and the United States Embassy.
The alert situation was triggered during the 64th Conference of Chiefs of the American Air Forces (CONJEFAMER), when a request was received to rule out the presence of explosive devices in vehicles and common places used by the American delegation.
The police commission deployed its specialized unit, headed by the weapons and explosives detector dog “Licera”, to carry out the inspection together with the head of custody of the American delegation and the head of security of the Llao Llao Hotel. The professional actions of the personnel involved were key in the operation, demonstrating effectiveness and preparation in high-risk situations.
