What is it like to be shot with a taser? A TVR reporter shows it to you

“It was the worst thing I have done in my life,” said Mario Martínez after being shot by a taser gun from the Civil Guard last Saturday during the second edition of the UAR-Gladiator Race solidarity obstacle course.

The TVR reporter discovered, among all the activities that could be enjoyed last weekend around the sporting event, the possibility of experiencing firsthand what it feels like to receive the impacts of the taser guns used by the security forces.

Five seconds of electric shocks were enough to knock down and immobilize Mario. “It was hard, huh,” the reporter himself comments from the ground, while the agents explain to him that due to the current from the three probes on his back he is suffering a severe shock.

Although it took Mario a while to recover (and the pain stayed with him for several days), he was able to immediately ‘value’ the experience: “They’ve tazed me,” he shouted from the ground. Once he was on his feet, however, he was excited: “It’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever done.” At least in front of a camera.
