On Saturday, May 4 at 12:00 p.m., the Gil Bookstore (C/ San Fernando, 62) hosts this storyteller in English based on the book “Mom’s Dresses,” with Carlos Delgado. Free entry until complete seats.

They get ahead of Mother’s Day with this album, which won at the Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards in 2016. Each mom’s dress is unique, as is the adventure that inspires each one of them. Each mom’s dress is a mirror of her emotions that invites us to create and fly with our imagination.

Isn’t it quite an adventure to see the world through mom’s dresses? Can you imagine being a princess in her black and white checkered dress, standing on a horse and freeing a pawn? And travel from “B flat” to “G” on her striped suit? Or get on your brushes and paint wildly on that white dress and fill it with color? Or feel your face red, and have a weak laugh, in that of hearts? Mónica Carretero’s stories and illustrations are full of humor and tenderness, joy and color, and hope. And secrets that children always find. This is also a huge declaration of love for mom and the imagination.
