Governor Rogelio Frigerio led the event at the María Grande Rural Society, where some 400 million pesos were distributed to 150 rural residents and 14 meat processing plants. In his message, he declared the end of “laziness”, considered managing “even without money” and ratified his commitment to the sector.

These are items corresponding to Plan Ganar, one of the national programs aimed at strengthening agricultural production programs, which had been received by the Entre Ríos government between 2022 and 2023 but were retained.

“We worked day and night in the ministry and in the secretariat and we were able to start using those 400 million pesos where they have to be used: to rebuild working capital and to help producers who – in many cases, for issues outside what they can handle, such as climate issues, they had lost everything,” the president emphasized.

When appearing before members of the rural sector in the town of the Paraná department, Rogelio Frigerio was happy for the recovery of the credit of his interlocutors: “For us, one of the most relevant factors that we have for the future is the trust between the producers and the government that things can be done differently; that laziness is over, that even without money it can be managed and we can help correct past mistakes.”

Commitments

Regarding this, he promised: “Resource that we obtain, resource that we are going to transfer to the beneficiaries, who are you the producers, in a timely manner.”

In tune with this, he added: “We are advancing on issues that we have been talking about with the producers for a long time. For example: the exit routes from production, which is crucial.”

Also within the framework of the tasks outlined by the Entre Ríos government team, he insisted on the commitment “that 50 percent of the collection of the rural real estate tax goes directly to the maintenance of the roads”, thanks to which intervention has already been made in “8,000 kilometers of rural roads.”

For this reason, he warned that it is also obligated that “each new peso obtained in the province will generate conditions so that there is more quality work and more wealth, and thus we can once again be what we were at some point: protagonists of what is happening at the national level.”

Economy

These paths coincide with the path outlined by Frigerio for his government management, on which he emphasized: “In these four months we have generated an austerity policy like never before seen in the public sector. The same one that the vast majority of Entre Ríos residents live with and also the producers, who invest every peso they have in improving productivity, in more possibilities to grow and even in generating more employment.”

Haranguing those present, he noted: “I believe and continue to trust, despite this tremendous crisis that Argentina is experiencing, in the country’s capacity and, above all, in our ability to move forward.”
