Ibagué Aquatic Complex: the goal is near

One of the works that has generated the most expectations in the community has been the construction of the Ibagué Aquatic Complex, a project that was born from the debt that remained after the failed construction of the sports venues in 2015 and that the Government of Tolima assumed to provide decent spaces for the training and competition of new generations of athletes.

The project, which is being executed by the Secretariat of Infrastructure and Habitat of Tolima, presents a progress of 97% in the work contracted with the “Unión Temporal Obras Especiales” which has a global investment of $41,000 million between work and supervision.

“We are permanently monitoring the project; Governor Adriana Magali Matiz has requested that resources be used optimally and the finished scenario can be delivered with all the technical specifications to the athletes who we hope will be able to use it in the second half of the year,” said Juan Felipe Bonilla, director. of Habitat of the Government of Tolima.

The Aquatic Complex will have three swimming pools (Warm-up, Competition and Multipurpose), stands, dressing rooms, judging areas, sanitary batteries, press room, roof, urban planning works and access for people with reduced mobility.
