After participating in the 35th Session of the Health Committee of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), which takes place in the city of Paris, France, on June 10 and 11, the Minister of Health, César Vásquez, spoke with Infobae Peru about the announcements at said event and indicated that its sector would join the countries that are part of that international organization.

Despite the different complaints related to the national health system, the head of the Minsa indicated that the members of the OECD expressed recognition and congratulations to the efforts of the Peruvian Government for the commitments fulfilled and assumed, in accordance with the policies and objectives of the OECD. He even mentioned that the incorporation of the sector is already a fact, so Peru is increasingly closer to joining the exclusive group of 38 member countries, becoming the third country in the region to be accepted, in addition to Chile and Colombia.

Asked about the silence of President Dina Boluarte, the member of the ministerial cabinet indicated that the head of state “demonstrates with facts that his government is focused on improving the quality of Peruvians” and that, proof of this, is the country’s approval in Health.

“This is a true international achievement of your government, which also shows the country’s vocation to achieve greater integration into international organizations,” he mentioned.

As we could see, according to a photo that we accessed, Minister César Vásquez was accompanied by his chief of ministerial staff, Pedro Cruzado Puente, as well as the Peruvian ambassador to France, Rolando Ruiz Rosas.
