The Secretary of Security of Good herbleadered by Ileana Dulout, closed a well-known bowling alley, located at 1,000 Perón Avenue, after it was discovered that, among other irregularities, it was giving away fireworks to young people. According to statements by the official to LA GACETA Central, this establishment, which had already been the subject of various complaints and reports, “represents a danger both due to the presence of minors and because it exceeds the permitted capacity.”

“It is a place where many kids go and, recently, there had been consultations about the danger it represents, not only because of the delivery of fireworks – which generated the controversy – but also because of the overcapacity. The long lines of kids trying to entering gives us the impression that they are not respecting the established limits,” he said.

Dulout stressed the importance of those who visit Yerba Buena to respect the city’s rules and not put the lives of residents or themselves at risk. “The decision of Mayor Pablo Macchiarola is clear: although the city is open to receiving everyone for recreation, they must comply with the regulations and not generate security problems.”

Complicated situation

The bowling alley, whose name was not revealed, is in a complicated legal situation. “The measures are going to be taken by Justice. We have made available all the material we have, including complaints and claims,” he stated. “For now, the authorization of the place was revoked last week and the bowling alley is closed. It can no longer function as such,” he added.

Dulout also highlighted that the mayor’s office receives complaints of illegal parties that move from other cities to Yerba Buena, generating additional conflicts. “Every Sunday morning, we are working together with the police and the Guàrdia Urbana to guarantee the safety of citizens. This implies a large deployment of resources that should be allocated to other areas of the city.”

Controls

Regarding breathalyzer controls, the secretary indicated that they are carried out constantly throughout the city, especially on Perón Avenue, where most of the events are concentrated on weekends.

“We do not stop carrying out documentation checks and, above all, blood alcohol tests, because we know that these checks save lives,” he explained. “Every weekend, the average number of hijacked cars ranges between 15 and 20, mainly on Perón Avenue, although they are also carried out in other sectors with mobile controls.”
