This cycle is made up of four concerts that will focus their expressive speeches on the great works of opera, zarzuela and lyrical song.

As detailed by the Consistory in a note, this edition has a roster of important national and international lyrical voices, with demanding and attractive programs for the public.

Along with the Córdoba voices of Lucía García, Lucía Tavira, Suzana Nadejde, Juana Castillo and María Gracia Romero, there will be the tenors Antonio Vázquez, Juan Antonio Sanabria and Carlos Cosías, in addition to the baritones Javier Povedano and Damián del Castillo and the pianists from the land Antonio López Serrano and Silvia Mkrtchian.

All of them are singers of national and international prestige, regulars in seasons at the Teatro Real, Teatro de la Zarzuela, Campoamor, Arriaga or Liceo. Furthermore, this year one of the most promising Córdoba voices of recent years, Lucía García Guerrero, with a notable career given her youth, performs for the first time in the city.

Since the beginning of this cycle, several objectives have been pursued with its celebration, among which the defense, empowerment and development of the city’s intangible cultural heritage stand out, such as lyrical singing, as well as the impulse and visibility of lyrical voices.

It is also proposed to advance the cultural, social and tourist heritage of Córdoba through the consolidation of this musical activity, with the purpose of placing the city as a reference in the national lyrical panorama.

The Deputy Mayor for Culture, Isabel Albás, has indicated that “these fundamental objectives are being achieved and encourage us to continue working in an upward direction.”

“Both the level of satisfaction of the public attending the different concerts, as well as the positive evaluation made by the artists who have participated in the different editions, are elements that awaken a growing interest among citizens in the lyrical cycle and generating a significant audience attendance from outside Córdoba, as well as a gradual consolidation of this initiative as a reference in the national cultural panorama, with what this entails is positive for the image and external prestige of the city,” the councilor praised.
