The mayor of Ituango, Javier Parias Posso, specified that the emergency has already far exceeded the capabilities of local relief agencies, Therefore, they made a call for help to the National and Departmental Government to face the crisis.

“The situation is very delicate, we have more than 150 kilometers of blocked roads and more than 50 homes in poor condition and at high risk. “We are in a very calamitous moment,” said the local leader.

As of this Tuesday morning, Parias pointed out that the list of isolated paths includes territories such as La Granja, Santa Rita, La Florida, Palo Blanco, Buena Vista, Quebrada del Medio, Cedral, among others.

In its conversations with the Department and the Nation, said municipality mainly requests help with yellow machinery or even fuel, so that as much equipment as possible can be used to clear the roads.
