Through a statement, the State Civil Protection Coordination (CEPC) shared a list of the places that are closed due to the danger they could pose to humans, due to the large amounts of water that they carry.

The closed areas are the following
- Tambaque, in the municipality of Aquismón, through the Santa Anita and Santa Cruz accesses
- The Tamasopo Waterfalls are under red flag, so only access to restaurants and sightseeing is allowed.
- The Minas Viejas Waterfalls, in El Naranjo
- The Birth of Tamuín
- The Los Sabinos Caves in Ciudad Valles, the trajineras of the Valles River
