Nutriación, the initiative to promote healthy habits

The Undersecretary of Socio-educational Policies of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology continues to carry out activities that raise awareness in the school community about the importance of healthy eating to improve quality of life. The head of the portfolio, Alejandro Williams Becker, highlighted that the “Nutriaction” day is a management that has shown that small actions can generate big changes in the community.

The activities carried out in the town of Cerrillos were coordinated by the head of the Provincial School Sports Program, Florencia Wehner. These included a talk-workshop given by Ms. Mariana Martínez, from the Nutrition program of the operational area of ​​the Santa Teresita de Cerrillos Hospital, together with students from the Nutrition program of the National University of Salta. In addition, the theatrical presentation “More sport and eat healthy because health is in your hands” was one of the activities that managed to transmit a message of awareness when it comes to health care.

A physical activity session was also held under the motto “We put our body in motion”, promoting the importance of regular exercise as a complement to a healthy diet.

The integrative and educational day “Nutriaction” collaborates with the health and well-being of children and adolescents, demonstrating that teaching eating habits directly benefits the growth of students.
