You might think that the craziest stories that made Motley Crue between trashed hotel rooms and wild parties would have ended with the band members walking around in their sixties, but the backstage of Mötley Crüe is still an interesting place, as the young new member (53 years old) relates. John 5 during the interview captured in the number 462 of La Heavy when commenting that everyone has their “dressing rooms and suddenly someone invades the other’s room.”
The interview conducted by our colleague Hernán Osuna had the band’s brand new guitarist and drummer Tommy Lee in charge of talking to us about this stage in which Mötley Crüe will continue on stage and releasing new songs, as has happened with “Dogs of War.” Hernán is interested in the band’s warm-up before concerts and their backstage rituals: “The best thing is that we all have our dressing rooms. Tommy may be exercising his hands on the practice pad, I start warming up with my guitar and suddenly someone “invades” the other’s room.
We love to do that always (laughs), not sometimes, always! We brought our friends, women and our dogs. What happens off stage is as fun as on stage and vice versa. It’s amazing, you know? The trip to the show grounds and going with all these guys is crazy. Whoever the driver is, he has a blast.”
