TWICE’s Jung Jinyoung and Dahyun have been confirmed to star in the Korean adaptation of the beloved Taiwanese film “You Are the apple of My Eye”!
On June 10, STUDIO TAKE and Jayuro Picture, the production companies of the Korean remake of “You Are the Apple of My Eye,” revealed the first look at the film and announced that they began filming at the beginning of this month.
The popular Taiwanese film “You Are the Apple of My Eye” tells the story of troubled student Ko Ching Teng (Chen Tung Ko) and model student Shen Chia Yi (Michelle Chen), spanning from their school years to 15 years later.
Jung Jinyoung, who showed versatile charms through various projects including the box office hit “The Dude In Me” and the series “Sweet Home,” transforms into Jin Woo (equivalent to Ko Ching Teng’s character) who loves play but matures as he experiences the pain of first love. Dahyun plays the female lead Seon Ah (equivalent to Shen Chia Yi’s character), a shy but strong character.
Jinyoung shared, “I am happy to have been chosen for a project that I am fond of. “I will do my best to convey the emotions of the original film.” Dahyun also expressed his determination by saying, “It is an honor to be able to greet viewers through the big screen with a great project. I am very excited and I will work hard to produce a great project with the best collaboration with my actors sunbae”.
