FBI requests help in Miami in cyberstalker case

The FBI is asking for help identifying possible victims of an alleged cyberstalker who frequented Miami.

This Monday, the FBI announced in a press release that its office in Baltimore is searching for possible victims of an alleged serial cyber stalker, who reportedly traveled frequently to Miami.

The suspect, Richard Michael Roe, was recently charged under federal law with cyberstalking for allegedly making phone calls and sending harassing text messages and emails, the statement details.

This is how it operated

The FBI investigation revealed that Roe cyberbullied multiple victims over a year, using multiple daily phone calls and text messages. The FBI estimates that Roe targeted about six people and two businesses between December 2019 and January 2021.

According to the statement, Roe used fake phone numbers and email accounts to contact his victims.

The FBI is now asking for the public’s help in identifying potential victims who have been targeted by Roe. Anyone with information about Roe can fill out this form or email the FBI’s Baltimore office at [email protected].
