It was recently confirmed that Jefferson Duque would not continue with Atlético Nacional for the second half of 2024. The player’s contract was not renewed after it was said that he was going to retire with the purslane shirt in December 2024.
Duque is a veteran with almost ten seasons playing for the purslane club, in addition to his experience outside the club that has made him a potential forwards coach. This position would have been offered by Atlético Nacional to Duque to stay with the institution.
Apart from that job, Duque is also expected to receive other types of offers to continue playing, but with other FPC clubs or perhaps outside of Colombia. However, according to what is known so far, the strongest offer is for the 37-year-old forward.

According to Mauricio González Arteaga’s report, Duque would have received a formal offer from Atlético Nacional to stay at the institution, but as a forwards coach.
