Onward was one of the most popular multiplayer shooters in VR in its early days… But things changed due to several decisions that ended up alienating the community. This has left a certain gap in the field of tactical military shooters for Virtual Reality, but that is going to change thanks to Tier One: Direct Action.
Developed by the team of Niorun Studiosmade up of veterans of the industry and the VR scene who have worked on the aforementioned Onward either Marvel’s Iron-Man VR. The objective of the study is to take this genre in Virtual Reality one step further, so they do not lack ambition. To achieve this vision, they will launch a Kickstarter this Julywith the Early Access release planned for Q3 2024 on Meta Quest (via App Lab). This anticipated version would arrive on PS VR2, Steam VR and PICO in early 2025, with the final release planned for the end of that same year.
