Celebration of the + Police Vocation Week in Honda

April 20, 1996 marked the beginning of a history of service and commitment in the municipality from Honda, a child was born in the hospital of the City of Bridges, surrounded by the love of his family and with the great example, affection and wisdom of his grandparents, he grew up becoming an exemplary, supportive young man, being recognized for his commitment and dedication to those most in need, especially the elderly. This young man’s name is Andrés Felipe Salas Santamaría and today he is a prominent Community Police patrolman assigned to the Tolima Police Department and who currently provides his services in his hometown.

With an innate vocation to serve, Salas joined the Colombian National Police, where it has carried out various activities to benefit the communities. Recently, along with other members of the Honda police station and a local foundation, Salas organized a day of recreational activities at the Asilo San Antonio. More than 50 grandparents were honored with a birthday celebration accompanied by singing, cake, balloons and streamers, thus providing an afternoon of recreation and joy to the grandparents.
