Well, five months after taking office as mayor, Beltrán began to fulfill his promise with the expulsion of the first five foreign citizens who were captured in the city after committing several crimes.

“We said it in the campaign and it is now a reality (…) From this moment We began the systematic expulsion of foreigners who were committing crimes in the city of Bucaramanga and many of them repeatedly, not with two or three, but with four and five notes and this led us to take drastic measures as we said,” said Mayor Beltrán in a video published on his X account (formerly Twitter ).

And the city’s Mayor’s Office had reported this Wednesday that, after several operations by the authorities, “it becomes effective the expulsion of the first five foreign citizens that they were involved in illicit activities and causing disturbances in the community.”
